about

Hervé Boghossian lives and works in Paris. With »Mouvements«, the artist presents his newest musical work. Regarding the technique of composition as well as the acoustic effects, the album is exceptional. As a starting point, several guitar compositions were played live into the computer. In a second step, the composition was re-worked using plug-in effects. The results are gliding sounds, a pleasant harmonic take on the glassy-metallic sound, a far reminiscence of the primary guitar composition. Thus, the complete album becomes a real transcendence, structures of rhythm where completely dissolved. The magnetic-acoustic stream gets a wide perspective. Several titles comment the tracks and show how they belong together in a deeper sense.

The first track »Mouvement aérien« (airy movement) carries the music to the listener. Until the forth track, a shift of accent is noticable, which cumulates in the fifth track »Organe ouvert« (open voice) - the core and climax of the album. The significant atmosphere of this track is taken up once again in the seventh track »Mémoire cyclique« (cyclic remind). from this point on, the music seems to fade away from, a process which ends after »Fin de conversation« (track 9). It leaves the listener flying away in a »Mouvement aérien«, leaves him behind with a strange thoughtful feeling, alone.
